I decided to venture into Kohl’s to return the 4 items from my online purchase. You can see these items from this post. After almost 1 month, I hadn’t pulled out any of the items except the Cafe tint Pleated Skirt. I really liked the skirt but I felt it wasn’t me. Well since I was at Kohl’s, I wanted to try on a few of Lc Lauren Conrad’s latest pieces.

What I’m wearing:
1. LC Lauren Conrad Polka-Dot Ruffle Chiffon Blouse
I’m wearing a size Small. I like how it looks but right underneath that bow is a button. Only where it ties, it is really tight. Not super tight but “Oh no, will I be able to button this shirt tight?”

2. LC Lauren Conrad Floral Accordion-Pleat Chiffon Skirt
LC Lauren Conrad Ruffle Chiffon Camisole
Lovely outfit. This is my favorite fitting. The look is flirt and romantic. Too bad it’s getting cold. I’m going to try pairing this outfit with a cape or tweed jacket.

3. LC Lauren Conrad Polka-Dot Embellished Shirtdress
When I read reviews on this dress, many people said “Cute dress. Tacky Rhinestones.” Yes the rhinestones does diminish the appeal of the dress. It’s pretty cute in the picture though. My main problem was that single button underneath the tie at the waist. I was wearing a size 8 – very fitted but a bit too tight for me at the waist. Also with the size 8, the back was bunching, so I knew a size 10 would not work for my body. Such a shame.

4. LC Lauren Conrad Pointelle Bow Sweater
Cute and fitted sweater that I would really like to have purchased. The quality is a bit stiff to me, not as soft as I thought it would be. The bow on the backside gives a feminine, flirty appeal that is consistently shown through LC Lauren Conrad’s Collection.

5. LC Lauren Conrad Lace Top
This is another top that has a tie back bow at the back by the neck. Very stretchy material that is flattering to many body types. I am wearing a size Small and the armholes are perfect and so is the length. I believe I can wear this with a blazer and pants, or even a skirt.

6. LC Lauren Conrad Chiffon-Trim Blazer
I am wearing a size 6 in this blazer. LC Lauren Conrad’s sizing is pretty off throughout her collection. Some I wear XS, S, 6, 8, etc. With this blazer a 6 was pretty loose, but I couldn’t find a size 4 to try on. I do like the style. Many reviews online said the color is not a true pink as shown on kohls.com but more brown (a common problem this year even with different brands). I personally like a deeper pink color but the style of the blazer wasn’t really wowing me. There was another blazer I tried on: LC Lauren Conrad Ruched Boyfriend Blazer, however I could only find a size 8. The size 8 was huge on me. The width of the arm holes were strangely wider than normal. It was a good idea to ruched the sleeves giving the blazer a more casual flair but it didn’t look right with the huge arm holes. I lvoe the color though.

Did anyone pick anything up from LC Lauren Conrad?

Crave: Polka Polka Dots Please

I was not thinking of polka dots this season until I was perusing Piperlime.com. Under Presents for Her, I zoned in a perfect little party dress from a designer that I have always love: BCBGeneration. And then what do you know: I was seeing polka dots everywhere. From LC Lauren Conrad, Urbanoutfitters, asos.com and zara.com.

Here are some wishlist items for Christmas (My husband is going to go ballastic over this year’s credit card bills):

4 Outfits from 6 Items

I have a lot of clothes that I don’t wear because it was pushed to the back of my closet or I could never find anything to go with it. While organizing my closet I found this lovely Ann Taylor Loft Shell from its Spring 2011 collection. It has been breezy, a bit chilly lately in Houston, TX, but the day I found this shell, Houston was having a somewhat humid 75 degree weather. I thought that it was a sign that I needed to see what I can wear with this top.

Top: Ann Taylor Loft Cream Shell sz S
Bottom: AX Armani Exchange Jeggings sz 28
Shoes: Banana Republic Cheetah Ballet Flats sz 7

Very comfortable outfit. I could totally see myself in this outfit when I’m shopping, or picking up the kids from school. I did notice that the shell looks boxy on me, so I decided to add a boyfriend blazer for work.

Blazer: Ann Taylor Boyfriend Blazer sz 6

I wore this outfit to work with the blazer. The blazer is a bit large on me. I bought this blazer as I was losing the baby weight. It fit then but I lost about another 5 lbs since then. So when I button the blazer, it’s loose around the waist. I probably have to get this blazer altered so it’ll be more fitted.

After work, our family planned to go out to eat. A blazer is too business like so I pulled a cardigan for our family night out. By evening, the weather became cooler around mid 60s. The fur collar totally kept me warm around my neck area. The shell isn’t cut too low but around this of the season I tend to get sick so easy that I just want to keep myself covered up.

Added: Ann Taylor Loft Removable Fur Collar Cardigan sz MP

This last outfit was inspired by Lauren Conrad and Fash Boulevard. Her Lauren Conrad outfit was super cute that it made me think how I can work with my Lauren Conrad Pleated Chiffon Skirt that I just got at Kohls.com.

It’s a basic outfit that can be turned into a work appropriate outfit with a blazer or wear it with a cardigan for a causal look. Up the flirty, romantic factor by switching jeans for a trendy skirt. I’m very happy with the looks. I normally don’t wear skirts because I am not comfortable running after my kids in a skirt. But after seeing myself in this really romantic outfit, I think I’ll incorporate more of it in my daily wardrobe choices.

Is there a piece of clothing that you plan on rockin’?

Crave: All Things Purple

I have been dying for something purple in my wardrobe. Unfortunately the only item that is remotely purple is a light purple cable sweater from Ann Taylor Loft. But I want a rich, and vibrant purple “THING!” Anything. Coats, Tops, Pants, Accessories.. a n y t h i n g.

Here are a few PURPLISH objects I’m craving for:

LC Lauren Conrad Kohl’s Purchase

I purchased from Kohls.com the following:

LC Lauren Conrad Pointelle Sweater – I bought the Doeskin and the Marsala colors. I love sweaters and I love the sweetheart mock neckline.

LC Lauren Conrad Striped Pleated Shorts

LC Lauren Conrad Pleated Chiffon Skirt
– I purchased it in the color Cafe Tint.

LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls Outfit - Marsala Color Pointelle Sweater + Pleated Chiffon Skirt

The skirt is a bit tight even at my usual size 6. The skirt is made to sit on your waist. It is beautiful and flowy. My daughter loved it. She kept lifting the skirt up and feeling the chiffon.

I rather have gotten the Cream colored Pointelle Sweater (like the one Lauren wears) to match better with the skirt. But it is unavailable right now. The sweater is really nice and thin. Very delicate and the thread can easily come apart.

Pleated Stripe Shorts with Pointelle Sweater in Doeskin

I never worn stockings with shorts before but it’s doable. I got the shorts in a size 6. It fits alot better than the skirt did. I do like how this outfit turned out. Very causal but with heels, it looks a lot more glamorous like an outfit for the clubs. Though after standing in heels for the entire day, my feet hurts now.

Do you like the outfits? Which do you prefer?

Ebay Shopping Spree – Late Night Edition

It is impossible to shop during the day. Bright and early I get up to take my two kids to day care/ early learning school. Then jet to work from 10am – 7pm. Come home to give the girls a bath, prepare their meals, read their bedtime story and tuck them in to bed. By 10 pm, I am EXHAUSTED.

I don’t know if any other moms experience this, but I am constantly awakened during the night. I’m either running to see why my little one is squealing at midnight as she tries to find her pacifier lost in her blankets, or re-tucking my older one after she fell off her toddler bed. But last night, I shook from sleep to realize that I can now SHOP to my heart’s content.

I purchased two things on Ebay:

LC Lauren Conrad Ballet Flats for $14.99 + $ 9 shipping. These were last season, but I have been looking for cute pink ballet flats for a while now.

Zoku Quick Pop Duo Maker + Zoku Tools – $39.99 + $9 shipping
Original price of Zoku Pop Maker is $39.99 + Zoku Tools $19.99 – Saved $10 bucks and Tax.

I cannot wait to receive these items.

LC Lauren Conrad Fall 2011 Collection

I am adoring LC Lauren Conrad’s collection this Fall 2011. It is hip yet with a ladylike flare. I think this collection focused more on a relax style that could be dressed up for special occasions.

Lauren Conrad -Kohl’s Fall 2010 Collection

available through kohls.com

I am loving the Lauren Conrad Collection for Fall 2010, only available through Kohls and kohls.com.

Her clothes are simple, feminine, and very sophisticated. And by the price, pretty affordable. Her clothes are priced around $22.00 – $59.00 for tops, bottoms, and dresses.

I think she is doing the fashion thing very well. I think when she first had her line through Bloomingdales, it was way too over priced. The crowd for Bloomingdales are not going to be the demographic that will buy her clothes.

This year the style is leaning towards an English sophistication with the tall knee boots, ruffles and the airy prints. I see this in many stores such as Ann Taylor Loft and Express and The Limited.
