Cute Outfit

I have been obsessed with Loft clothing lately. I don’t know why. Outfits like the one of the left are very attractive to me. I think i can wear this outfit and be comfortable. It has that relaxed style yet looks sexy at the same time. Not only can I wear jeans with this outfit, I can also wear trousers.

Though I had tried on the shirt, it seemed to not fit me very well. They only had a XS and a M. I’m a S. The XS fit but was kind of tigh around the arms. But the waist sat very awkwardly on my frame.

I am going to try to keep looking for a similar outfit and coloring that fits better. Hopefully it is out there.

Day 12

 Breakfast: I do not remember breakfast except scarfing it down in minutes. I was starving when I woke up.

Lunch: Skirt steak salad… chewy. Lettuce was wilting a bit. Had onions on salad that gave a kick… but was a bit too much of a kick.

Dinner: I went to Luby’s. So the turkey sausages are left for another time. Luby’s on the other hand… was plentiful and hit the spot for me.

Snack 1 and Snack 2: Have not yet been eaten.

Overall: Yes I cheated at dinner. i do feel like I need to cheat 1 day a week. When I know I’m on a diet, the diet itself won’t work. Sometimes cheating helps with progress. (or am I just deluding myself?)

Day 11

Breakfast: The portions are getting larger. In a way. I was pretty full after breakfast. I was shocked that I chosed a meal with goat cheese. I am not a very adventurous eater. In my mind I am. But reality tells a different story. The goat cheese was a lot more pungent… a stronger taste. It wasn’t bad with all the other flavorings like eggs, sun dried tomato etc.

Lunch: Whoa.. another huge sandwich! It was the size of the whole plastic container! I love BBQ pulled pork. I can make that pretty easily. This recipe had mushrooms that added a juicy, sweet texture with the BBQ pork mix. Different.

Dinner: Crab cakes were delish! I don’t like the broccoli mash. It’s the 2nd or 3rd time I had it and it hasn’t grown on me.

Snack 1: Beef ravioli… umm umm good. every bite was cherished.

Snack 2: Pita pocket of curried egg salad… I wouldn’t have ever thought I like this. Tasted like a devil’s egg sandwich.

Day 10

Fresh Diet Day 10

 

Wow, I was shocked when I opened the Fresh Diet bag today. The portions are getting bigger. Except for breakfast.

Breakfast: Quiche… wow.. really good. the mozzarella just oozed after heating. I felt like I was eating pizza. I didn’t really taste the zucchini though.

Lunch: When I saw thing panini, I thought I had hit the jackpot! It was huge!!!! I was sooo full after eating this sandwich. First time I felt full after a meal since forever!!! It was delicious. Then I realized, No meat?! What? How could that be? I could go veggitarian.

Dinner: I never would have thought this meal would fill me up. Tofu??? But it did. I was stuffed. Either my stomach is getting smaller or the portions are getting larger.

Snack 1: Chicken with lemon glaze.. I remember the chicken. I don’t remember the lemon glaze.

Snack 2: Sugar free and decadent chocolate cupcake. Give me the recipe!!!! It is addicting stuff.

Overal: I’m feeling good. I feel like I’m getting the hang of the portions. I do still get hungry in the middle of the day but it’s not bad. It does get bad around dinner time though. I don’t get off of work until 7 pm so I’m always rushing home and eating.

Day #9

Wow it’s getting harder and harder to eat these foods. While they are good, I am still hungry after each meal. I start to crave other snacks.

Well this was what I had for the day:

Day 9 Fresh Diet

 

Breakfast: Still not a fan of ricotta cheese. I don’t know why I keep choosing it. I assume it’s because nothing else on the menu appeals to me. The ricotta cheese isn’t that flavorful. It is just a filling and it does enhance the other flavors of the bananas and the chocolate (or a substance that looks like chocolate but lacks the richness of chocolate).

Lunch: I really like lentil soup. But maybe I just got over tonsilitis so the lentil has that flakely outer layer. That made me cough a lot. The turket sausage was good but chewy.

– There are still no heating instructions with anything. Sometimes I might over heat the food causing chewiness.

Dinner: Very good. I love pork, beets, and pasta! But after the meal, I was still hungry so I actually took out a leftover meal from 2 nights ago: Fillet of Sole with Lemon Caper Sauce with Butternut Squash Puree and Sauteed Shitake Mushrooms.

Yes I had two dinners. I was really stuffed and I didn’t like the feeling.

Snack 1: Lamb.. yummy. chewy but yummy.

Snack 2: Mangoes and pudding. perfect combinations. Though the pudding looked different. It was more condensed than smooth like Jello pudding.

Overall, the meals are awesome! I love the variety and it is very easy to select your meals. I hadn’t selected any meals for the next two weeks, and I received a reminder email. I love the personal feeling with the Fresh Diet company. Really enjoying it.

Day 8

I have not been doing very well on the Fresh Diet. I love the food. I love the convenience of not cooking yet I’m still eating healthy. But I find myself starving throughout the day. I do try to snack on almonds and a granola bar but it still doesn’t fill me up. Yet I still feel like I have energy and I’m not as stuffed as I used to be after I eat. So there are good points and there are some bad points.

I do feel the good out weighs the bad though.

So for this Monday I had really good meals.

Breakfast: The eggs were amazing. I love southerwestern tastes. I love the corn and the pepperjack cheese that gives everything a good spicy taste.

Lunch: The veggie wrap was filling. The first time I really really full and it was a good sized portion. The only negative was the avocado was brown and looked weird. But it didn’t taste bad.

Dinner: It was okay. There are still no heating instructions with any of the food. My estimate was at 1 minute and 30 seconds but I guess it was too much and the beef was chewy. The cauliflower puree was the size of a half dollar. Not much. There was a lot of mixed veggies and the asparagus was tasty.

Snack 1: The crostini was okay. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to heat it up or not. It microwaved it for 15 seconds and it was still cold. There was no taste. Only a slight saltiness from the bread. I do like the idea of it. And I think if I were to make it, it would be easy to make.

Dessert: Chocolate covered strawberry with ricotta cheese – 1 strawberry even though the menu said plural. The chocolate had no flavor. And I thought it tasted odd with ricotta cheese.

Overall the meals were fine. I am not a picky eater so I did enjoy the differences in each meal. I do wish I would have the ability to make my own meals. But I get ill just thinking about cooking. I’m just not good at cooking. I tend to over buy grocery items and then the food goes to waste.

Day 7

Day 7 on Fresh Diet

 

I think the diet started off very well but life got in the way. My days can start either on time or not on schedule at all. With 2 kids under 2 years old, some times I can’t micromanage every thing down to the last detail. Because some times 1 kid might have other ideas that causes a big mess. And then my schedule will be knocked down like dominoes.

Lately breakfast and lunch are 1 meal.

Granted the portions are small enough to be combined into 1 big meal yet the big meal isn’t really big either. It would fill me up but it won’t make me completely full.

Breakfast Rating: Omelet was good. But I hardly tasted any cheese.

Lunch Rating: Very small wrap. I had a philly cheese steak wrap several days ago and it was really a good sized portion. Today was extra small. Tasty but not at all filling if I didn’t have the omelet with it.

Dinner Rating: I did not eat the sole. I instead ate the salmon that I was supposed to eat 2 nights ago. The salmon was tender but seemed kind of under cooked. Even though it was cooked beforehand and I heated it for 2 minutes. The broccoli was green but the ends of the stems were browning. And the brown rice was really good. I usually do not like brown rice but this had some tomatoes mixed in.

Snack 1 Rating: Whoa nelly! Lobster! yeah it was goooooodddd!!!!

Snack 2 Rating: The dessert was all right. Kind of made me think of gelato. And I’m not really into gelato.

Day 6

Breakfast and Lunch Rating: Yeah I didn’t eat breakfast until it was lunch time and so I doubled up on the food. I know I’m supposed to space it out but today started out really busy. So the omelet was great! I’m a big fan of omelets and bell peppers. But lunch was hands down the best this week. Cajun shrimp (has a bit of a kick of spice) with portabellas. yummy yummy!!!

Dinner Rating: Onions were rolled inside turkey meat. The turkey was kind of dry but the carmelized onions were good. The onions added some flavor to the turkey. Broccoli mash wasn’t that good. Very bland. But the roasted pumpkin were sweet. I thought it was sweet potatoes.

Snack 1 Rating: Yummmmyyy!!! Love mozzarella. I never thought off topping eggplants with cheese

Snack 2 Rating: 2 Finger Sized tenders. Chicken is chicken. Breaded with bread crumbs instead of just flour. Seemed to have been baked rather than fried. Still tasted very good.

Review: Jergens Natural Glow Sun Tan Lotion

I am currently using Jergens Natural Glow Revitalizing Fair to Medium. This is an amazing self tanning lotion that you would use like a daily moisturizer. Right after I showered, I applied all over my body. I left the lotion dry before dressing. And it seems like 10 minutes later, I can see a subtle difference in my skin color.

It’s like magic!

I also use the Jergens Natural Glow Healthy Complexion Daily Facial Moisturizer. This helps my face match up with my body tanning color. I didn’t want to be tanned yet my face is still pale. Also within minutes I could see the difference from before and after.

I went the entire day feeling great about myself. I have a decent looking tan with no streaking and no mess. It cost me probably under $15 for both products.

I do enjoy going out and getting a natural tan but I lack time. I do not get to enjoy the outdoors much and probably won’t be able to do so any time soon.

Something did happened the very next day, that discouraged me from this product. I started to develop a rash. My skin is sensitive to this tanning lotion. The weird thing was the rash only covered my torso – back and front. I thought about it and figured I applied too much on my torso.

I waited 4 days later to reapply a 2nd time. This time I skipped my torso. By the 4th day of no tanning application, I did not that the tan was disappearing. It did leave a slight stain on my knees and elbows.

After the 2nd time I used it, I notice a sensitivity around my collar area, the back of my thighs and calves. Forearms had some irritation but was not bad. If I didn’t give in to the itchiness, the rash would subside.

So even though I want a tan, the rash is making me scared to continue this product. I am hoping that I can slowly build a resistance to the rash with just minimal bi-weekly applications.

Day 5

Breakfast Rating: It was okay. The ricotta cheese is very bland but the texture is heavy. The waffles are bland but then again all wheat products pretty lack flavor. It was the mangoes and mandarins that gave a sweet/ sour taste. I don’t know if I’ll order it again.

Lunch Rating: I think I will always like the caesar salads. Whether plain or with ham or chicken, it all tastes very good.

5PM Meal: I was very hungry at 5PM and decided to eat the dinner that I missed yesterday. It was Cod Loin with Port Tarragon Dijon Sauce with Southwestern Corn Saute and White Bean Puree. Very good fish but I was not delighted with the port tarragon dijon sauce. The sauce was really mustardy and I guess a bit bitter from the herb. But the corn and bean puree and the cod were delicious.

Dinner Rating: I went out for dinner again. It was my mother’s birthday.

Snack 1 Rating: It was okay. I love prosciutto, but found it funny with the wheat tortilla and the cantaloupe. The cantaloupe was sweet and juicy. By itself, it would have been good. Together, I was not used to the saltiness of the prociutto, the sweetness of the melon, and the blandness of the wheat tortilla.

Snack 2 Rating: I was not a fan of the pear and the mascapone cheese. The flavoring was very good but I did not care for the texture of the pear and with the creaminess of the cheese. The pear was very hard. I think if the pear was a bit more ripe, it would have tasted a whole lot better.

Overall, I am enjoying the Fresh Diet meals. It is refreshing to try some many different meals. I am usually stuck eating the same meals over and over again whether at home or going out. Even when I’m on a diet, I usually eat the same boring “healthy” meals over and over, day and night. Eventually boredom makes me quit the diet.
